FILMS: CODED, and Met a Girl
August 1st, 2011Well I have some exciting news. We recently finished principal photography for CODED and shot the first day of Met a Girl. Unfortunately, we missed out on shooting the second/last day of Met a Girl, due to schedule conflicts, but we’re on the slate to do post. Here’s the breakdown:
Met a Girl is short film directed by Ray Rosales with OliveSancho Productions (we worked with them on Case File: The Smell of Lorne). I can’t wait to finish this one up. This was one of those scripts that you read and you have to work on. I can’t tell you too much about it or it may spoil it for you. But I assure you that once it’s finished I will let everyone know.
CODED is a short film directed by Brian Morgan with MissingShoe Films (we worked with them on Bachelor Gourmet (Pilot)).
Here’s the Synopsis:
Coded is a short film that follows the seclusion of a soldier on leave from Iraq. Completely self isolated from the outside world except for a telephone, his ritualistic daily routine is disrupted when he hears ominous vibrations coming from his fish tank.
The short follows similar films in tone/mood like Pi and Primer and takes the viewer on a puzzling emotional journey as the character tries to reconnect with the outside world.
This, like Met a Girl, is a script that we couldn’t pass on. The film itself is filled with sound to the point that it will require a serious amount of Sound Design and Foley. It’s going to be a very fun experience. We’ve already gathered quite a few sounds for the primary sound effect. Also, very soon we’re going to start posting some Behind the Scenes videos during the post process. This WILL be fun!
Stay Tuned…
